You know you’re in trouble when…
I can be somewhat negligent when it comes to my iPhone. I love to play with all of it’s features; often, at the same time. I’m talking on the phone while playing my favorite brain teaser game, texting while having 3 internet windows open, and so on. Although I love all of these fabulous features, my iPhone battery does not. I am constantly getting the alert that only “20% battery power remains.” However, I am so attached to always having my phone near me I often don’t plug it in until it is about to turn off. Yesterday did not disappoint: my battery was almost dead and my phone was practically begging me to be plugged in so I broke down, let it out of my hands, and charged it. I proceeded to get some things ready for dinner, put laundry away, and rearrange the decorative pillows on the bed. As I was walking back into the kitchen from the bedroom, I realized something felt a little off. Then, it hit me.
I had a cordless phone in my hand.
Apparently, it was so foreign to me not to have a phone in my hand, muscle memory took over and my fingers went and picked up another phone! And, I didn’t even realize I was carrying it around until it was ringing while I was holding it.
Hey, at least you know you can always get ahold of me.

And, you know me. I like to be appropriately dressed for all situations. Therefore, if you could see me right now, I’d be explaining to you the incredible talent Elaine has while wearing some fabulous shoes and this ring. A lil bling never hurt anyone.

Make it work!
I started reading a book I’ve had for awhile this weekend. It had been in a box in the storage room and while I was getting something else out, it caught my eye. I love to read on the subjects of fashion, style, and the like. This book did not disappoint, it only left me wishing I hadn’t waited so long to start it. I was so inspired, I even read passages to Scooter!

I highly recommend it, if only for the witty writing.
Peep toes, y’all
When I saw these shoes in Chicago, I had to have them. I don’t get to wear them all too often because burnt orange bows are a little limiting. But that doesn’t make me love them any less.
The bows remind me of bowtie pasta!

Speaking of bowtie pasta, I have a new love in the cooking world. Paula Deen. I want to go to Savannah and have all the fried lovelies her restaurant has to offer. I also want to befriend her.
…off to cook up a plan to make that happen!

The Summer Wind

it lingered there, so warm and fair to walk with me.”

Oh, hi!
Whoops, it’s been awhile. Yes, I went on a fabulous vacation!
And, some other things have been going on, too.
My summer, thus far, by numbers:
Meetings for the upcoming nuptials – 5
New pairs of shoes – 4
Birthdays (one being mine!) – 3
Hail Storm Damage – 2 (windows)
Fourth of July Barbeque – 1
Now, here we are.
A walk on the beach!

Look closely…it’s not just our pool that’s in the picture!

And, the love of my life.
